History

Served the Upstate New York area for More than 15 Years

Evergreen Mountain Contracting, Inc., has served the Upstate New York area for more than 15 years. Began in 1998 by Twin brothers Mike Petosa and Eric Petosa, the company earned a solid reputation as a quality-driven Excavation and Site work contractor.
After many years in the industrial and commercial contracting business, Evergreen Mountain Contracting expanded its operations to serve the public sector in addition to its private sector clients. Evergreen Mountain Contracting’s key personnel have been in the construction business for over a half of century.
Today, Evergreen Mountain Contracting’s operations can accommodate all client needs from large to small. While our specialty business is heavy excavation, site work, stream restoration, sewer treatment plants, water treatment plants, sewer and water mains, demolition, paving, site clearing and various other construction oriented tasks. The diversity of our employees’ experience in the field, the young talent that we train in our processes and the consistently high quality of our work help ensure the success of your project.

Corporate Vision

As both a general contractor and subcontractor, Evergreen Mountain Contracting, Inc., lives by its commitment to clients, pledging to construct their projects safely and to deliver the highest quality end product on time and on budget. To this end, we focus on three critical components throughout our operations and in every job entrusted to us:

Safety

Our employees are our greatest asset, so at Evergreen Mountain Contracting we take safety seriously. And because safety is our primary concern, Evergreen Mountain Contracting has adopted a strict program for safety procedures and policies. As part of this safety program, each year we train our management level employees on how to implement and apply our Safety Program and Procedures Manual. This yearly training also includes an update on OSHA regulations.
In addition, every month Evergreen Mountain Contracting conducts work site inspections to ensure OSHA compliance. These unannounced site inspections are designed to spot any discrepancies and correct any potential safety issues. These inspections also serve as a training tool to improve our procedures and reduce the risk of injury and lost time.

People

At Evergreen Mountain Contracting, we feel that quality is not measured by the finished product alone — it is an ongoing process that extends from the office to the field and beyond. Every employee, from accounting and estimating to project management and skilled labor, has a hand in the end result. That’s why we employ a broad diversity of people who bring unique expertise and skills to the job. In addition, we believe that continuous training and cross-training helps maintain the most competent staff. And so, we encourage our employees to broaden their base of knowledge with the latest principles and techniques for their duties.

Equipment

In order to supply our clients with the best products, we must utilize the latest in equipment technology. Our extensive fleet of equipment is kept in superb condition by our own maintenance staff. We take pride in our corporate identity and our “Evergreen Mountain Contracting Green” fleet, which distinguishes us in any workplace.
